gicleeとは、絵画や写真のデジタルデータを用い、10色以上のインクジェットプリンター、またはUVプリンターを介して、ファインアート用紙などにプリンティングし、作家のサインとともに、必要に応じ作家自身が肉筆を加えた唯一固有の美術作品です。
また、各ジークレー制作の真作を証明するため、制作履歴、制作ラボとそのプリンティングオペレータ名を明示し、作品に記入する管理番号と一対になった作品証明書の添付を条件としています。
A giclee is a unique work of art that uses digital data of paintings or photographs, prints them on fine art paper using an inkjet printer or UV printer with 10 or more colors, and includes the artist's signature and handwritten notes as necessary. In order to prove the authenticity of each giclee work, a certificate of authenticity must be attached that clearly indicates the production history, the name of the production lab and its printing operator, and is paired with a control number written on the work.
